Online Services Manager, Europe
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an organized and dynamic Online Services Manager to lead the team of Software Engineers in Europe. This team is working on Web development and internal tools mainly using technologies such as Java and Oracle database.
The ideal candidate must have experience in leading teams of developers and be able to thrive in a fast paced work environment. Experience in project management is mandatory.
Location: Velizy, France (southwest of Paris)
Permanent work contract
Starting Date: Immediate
Reports to: Platform Management Director, Europe
Countries to work with: France, US, Korea
Brands: Blizzard games
Coordinates with:
- Management across the company
- Producers and project managers in EU and US
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the European Web and Tool Development Team
- Liaise with other teams to build the technology plan and oversee all development tasks of the team
- Help design applications to the requirements of Blizzard
- Ensure consistency of developments and tools across regions
- Ensure team goals are achieved in due time and help prioritize tasks in synchronization with global management
REQUIREMENTS
- +3 years experience managing development teams
- +5 years work experience
- A proven aptitude for technical design
- Strong experience in project Management
- A strong motivation, high level of commitment and excellent teamwork skills
- Fluent in English
PLUSES
- Previous experience in the on-line gaming industry
- Knowledge of Web developments based on Linux, Java, Struts, Spring, Oracle, MySQL
- Knowledge of web and software development based on windows technologies (C#, asp.net…)
