Spanish Version of World of Warcraft to be Released!
We are happy to announce that a Spanish version of World of Warcraft will be released. As with the existing German and French versions, the game will be localized by the Blizzard in-house localization team. The Spanish version of the game will be released and hosted in Europe and supported by a dedicated Spanish-speaking team based at the Blizzard Europe offices.

"We look forward to offering Spanish-speaking players in Europe a version of World of Warcraft tailored specifically for them," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "The enthusiasm for the game here has been overwhelming, and we're pleased that this new localized version will make World of Warcraft accessible to an even wider audience."

Blizzard President Places 2nd in D.I.C.E Poker Tournament!
As part of this year’s D.I.C.E. Summit (Design Innovate Communicate Entertain, a yearly summit hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences), the D.I.C.E. Celebrity Poker Tournament featured established pros of both the game industry and the game of poker. While many familiar Blizzard faces participated in the tournament, which was held in the largest private poker room in the United States, it was Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, who prevailed until the final table. In the last round, Mike faced Scott Fischman and Perry Friedman, both well-known World Series of Poker professionals, as well as Ray Muzyka of Bioware. After a dramatic 45-minute battle, Ray emerged victorious, with Mike placing 2nd overall in the tournament. Congratulations to both Ray and Mike on their strong performance in this year’s tournament.

Could it be that the recent emergence of the murlocs and naga from their water abodes is evidence of the awakening of far more terrible monstrosities in the murky fathoms? Learn more...
